New to online auctions? You’re in the right place.
Here's a quick walkthrough of how to start bidding on the items you want.
1. Log In or Create an Account
Before anything else, make sure you're logged in. If you don’t have an account yet, create one here. It only takes a minute.
2. Register for the Auction
Once you’re logged in, head to our Current Auctions page and pick an Auction that interests you.
Click into the Auction, then hit the Register to Bid button.
You’ll only need to register once per Auction.
You must register for each Auction before you can place bids.
3. Browse the Catalog
After registering, take your time looking through the lots. You can search, filter, and even favorite items to add them to your Watchlist.
4. Place a Bid
When you're ready, click the "Bid Now" button and type your bid amount in the box next to the "Confirm Bid" button.
You'll be asked to confirm before it's official. This screen will show your the Bid Total, and below that, the price including Buyers Premium. To confirm your bid, click "Place Bid".
Once confirmed, your bid becomes your Max Bid. That means our system will automatically place bids on your behalf—just enough to keep you in the lead—until your max is reached.
We use a set bid increment schedule to keep things fair and competitive.
⚠️ Pay Attention to “Sold By” Details
Many building materials are sold by the unit, not the full lot. Always check the “Sold By” line before bidding.
Here’s what that means:
-
If the lot is sold by the Square Foot, your bid is per square foot
-
If it’s sold by the Square, your bid is per square
-
If it’s sold by the Piece, your bid is per piece
Your bid will be multiplied by the quantity in the lot.
Example:
The lot contains 380 square feet of flooring
It’s sold by the square foot
A $1 bid = a $380 total purchase if you win
Taking a quick look at the units can help you avoid surprises later.
